The Essentials were initially adopted in 1970 then revised in 1976, 1984, 1991, 1997 and 2003.
The revision published in 2010 was renamed Accreditation standards
for Nuclear Medicine Technologist Education and becomes effective
2011.
JRCNMT accreditation standards are endorsed by the American College of
Radiology, American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Society of
Nuclear Medicine and Society of Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Section.
