Revision of Accreditation Standards

The process to revise JRCNMT accreditation standards occurs through a series of drafts that are disseminated for public comment.  The JRCNMT reviews the comments pertaining to the current draft then uses them to create the subsequent draft.  The cycle continues until no additional actionable input is received.

The final draft is sent to the four collaborating agencies for endorsement (majority required) then they are adopted by the JRCNMT. Programs are given a minimum of one year to come into compliance with the new Standards.

Draft 3 of the revised Standards is available for public comment until 11:59 pm on August 15, 2016.  You may submit your comments using the automated survey linked below or by writing a letter to the JRCNMT.  All comments will be reviewed at the JRCNMT board meeting in October.
